Navigate to the folder you want to put the Venue in, right-click and select “Create Folder” to create a new venue folder.  Rename it to the name of the venue and press Enter.  Right-click and select Properties to configure the properties.

Click on Create under “There is no Venue data associated with this folder” on the Data tab to configure this folder as a venue data type, and then click Done.  The venue line on the Data tab will change to “This folder is a venue”.  These are the only configuration settings that need to be completed to establish a Venue folder, although when you click on Create you will be offered a form on which to enter the venue’s location details etc.   You can set these later by returning to the Properties page and selecting Edit underneath “This folder is a venue” on the Data tab.
